October 27-29, 2023

Application Deadline: Monday, October 16th by 12 PM GMT-1

A 3-day bootcamp for aspiring founders to solve a problem through creating a startup.

Overview

The Chany Ventures Startup Bootcamp is a 3-day entrepreneurship education program where participants learn the principles of entrepreneurship in a fast-paced, interactive environment. The program is designed to expose individuals to entrepreneurial thinking through the ideation and creation of a mock company with “co-founders” to solve problems in their communities.

Day 1

Day 1 involves exploring problems and possible solutions through ideation exercises in teams. Teams then develop their solution through use of the Lean Canvas as if they were creating a startup.

Sunday, Oct. 29

09:00 - 15:30

Day 3

The startup idea is formed, now it’s time to pitch. Participants are taught not only how to pitch but how build a deck, tell a story, and get your point across. At the end of the day, teams will pitch in front of a panel of judges, simulating a true pitch presentation.

Day 2

Using their solution from the day prior, teams expand on their idea as a startup idea takes form. Teams learn the basics of customer discovery, market sizing and prototyping to better develop their idea. Day 2 ends in mentorship from local entrepreneurs and business leaders.
